Banned Phrase

Specific words and phrases auto-rejected by the anti-slop framework, including "unlock," "empower," "streamline," "game-changing," and "leverage."

Banned phrases are the first and most aggressive layer of anti-slop detection. These are words that AI models default to when they lack specific context — they sound professional but communicate nothing. The current banned list includes 30+ terms: "unlock potential," "empower teams," "streamline workflows," "game-changing," "cutting-edge," "leverage," "robust," "seamless," "elevate," "transform," and their variants. When Edit Content encounters a banned phrase, it auto-rejects that sentence and rewrites it with specific language grounded in the actual context. "Streamline your workflow" becomes "cut your pipeline review from 4 hours to 45 minutes." The ban list grows organically: when Victor flags a phrase twice in editorial review, it gets added permanently.
