Headline Refinement
The process of generating 10-15 headline variations and scoring each against specificity, curiosity, ICP relevance, and anti-slop compliance.
Headline Refinement is a sub-process within Persuasive Copywriting that treats headlines as their own optimization problem. For any content piece, the skill generates 10-15 headline variations across different angles: pain-led ("Your Pipeline Reviews Take 4 Hours — Here's the 45-Minute Version"), curiosity-led ("What 42 PRDs Taught Me About AI Agent Memory"), proof-led ("52 Skills, 889 Documents, 2.5 Years: A Knowledge OS Retrospective"), and contrarian ("Most AI Content Tools Make Your Writing Worse"). Each variation is scored on 5 criteria: specificity (does it contain a number or named thing?), curiosity gap (does it create a reason to read?), ICP recognition (would the target persona see themselves?), anti-slop compliance (no banned phrases), and length (under 70 characters for SEO, under 100 for social). The top 3 are presented with scoring rationale.
