Skill

A reusable instruction set that encodes a repeatable process. Skills load context, apply methodology, and produce consistent output.

A skill is a SKILL.md file that Claude Code loads when invoked with a slash command. It contains the methodology, references, quality gates, and output format for a specific workflow. Skills differ from prompts in three ways: they load your context (ICP, voice, competitive intel) automatically, they chain with other skills, and they learn from your corrections via memory. The 42 production skills in Knowledge OS cover content, research, sales, planning, and operations.
