Tool Evaluate
Weighted scoring framework for tool and vendor evaluation with structured criteria, scoring rubrics, and comparison matrices.
Tool Evaluate runs a structured evaluation when choosing between tools, vendors, or platforms. You define 5-10 criteria with weights (e.g., API quality: 25%, pricing: 20%, ecosystem: 15%), and the skill scores each option against each criterion on a 1-5 scale with written rationale. Output is a comparison matrix with weighted totals, a recommendation with confidence level, and a risk section covering switching costs and lock-in. The skill prevents the two common evaluation failures: choosing based on one impressive demo feature, and analysis paralysis from too many options without a decision framework. It forces you to define what matters before looking at solutions. The output markdown renders cleanly in any context without requiring a spreadsheet.
